What are the entry years?
The earliest the child can attend our program is 18 months.
What are the school hours?
Play Loft operates from 7:45 am – 6:30 pm.
When is the best time to visit?
We are currently offering tours Tuesday – Friday at 8:00 am.

When and where should I drop my child off for school?
Drop off is in our hallway. Drop off for the regular program is at 8:30 am, if you are signed up for early drop off then the earliest the child can be dropped off in the center is 7:45 am.
What will my child need to take to school?
The children need to bring 2 set of extra clothes (pants, shirt, socks, underwear), diapers/pull-ups and wipes (if not toilet trained), nap blanket and a stuffy if staying for the extended and full day program.
Do children need to be toilet trained?
No, the child does not need to be toilet trained. We work with the parents in achieving this milestone.
What is the lunch time and snack time in the toddler and preschool program?
Morning Snack is at 10:00 am, Lunch is at 12:00 pm and afternoon snack is at 2:30 pm.
What is the policy on food allergies?
Play Loft is a nut-free center. No outside food and snacks are allowed. All children's allergies and restrictions are posted in all the rooms in the center.
What snacks and lunch are provided?
Play Loft snack is prepped on site, in accordance with the Canadian Food Guide. Lunch is catered from Wholesome Food Catering; lunch menu is posted on the parent board. Any changes to the snack and lunch are updated on the parent board.
Is there naptime?
Naps are offered to our toddler and preschool children who attend the extended day and full day program. Naps are for 2 hours between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm.
If I am late picking up my child?
We understand that due to unforeseen circumstances pick up can be late sometimes. If consistently late, $ 1 per minute charge will be applied.
What if I can’t pick up my child?
Can someone else do it? Parents will need to email the name of the person picking up their child who is not listed on the pickup list. A government issued photo ID is needed to verify the person’s identity before dismissing the child. Play Loft staff will not dismiss the child to anyone who is not listed on the pickup list.
What if a child does not want to participate in an activity?
A child is never forced to participate in the activity. The teachers present the activity in a way that would encourage participation. If the child does not want to participate at that time, they always have an option of coming back to the activity at a later time in the program.
